See Teaser of 2016 MINI Clubman before its Presentation in Frankfurt

MINI has begun their teasing for the second-gen Clubman (F54), which is expected to premiere this September at the Motor Show in Frankfurt.

It was possible to see few spy images with the company’s biggest offering yesterday. Now the BMW-owned brand has shown a teaser photo of the coming-soon six-door vehicle. This car will receive rear barn-styled doors. Last year the producer unveiled a near-production concept. Therefore, we are already familiar with the outlook of the vehicle.

The new Clubman does not remind a real MINI. It looks like the vehicle will have almost identical proportions as the concept has. We remind you, that the concept is 4223 mm in length, 1450 mm in height and 1844 mm in width. In such a way, the Clubman will probably be 260 mm longer, 24 mm taller and 161 mm wider that its predecessor.

The car under consideration will have the same UKL platform as the other new MINIs. It will be possible to obtain the offering with a whole bunch of turbocharged V3 and V4 petrol and diesel engines. A warm Clubman S will be possible to obtain since the first day. It will produce 192 hp (or 141 kW) and torque of 280 Nm (or 300 Nm with overboost). The power will come from a 2.0-litre turbo. With the lapse of time there will be a JCW (John Cooper Works) variant producing 231 hp (or 170 kW) and torque of 320 Nm (or 236 lb-ft).

The sales will start after the car’s presentation in the middle of September at the Motor Show in Frankfurt.
