Photos of the McLaren 675 RS Spider
The first images of the McLaren 675 RS have been spotted on the Web.
The high-performance roadster is shown on the photos. Essentially, it is a convertible version of the 675 LT. The new model has aggressive side skirts, a new spoiler at the front and lightweight alloys. The vehicle’s new fascia at the rear end has a sportier dual exhaust set-up.
The automaker has not revealed the car’s specifications. Though, we understand that the vehicle is likely to follow the way of the coupe. Therefore, it will adopt stiffer springs, a recalibrated 7-speed SSG gearbox and a revised electronic stability control system. There is information that the vehicle will sit on a diet. The 650S Coupe weights 220 lbs more than the 675 LT.
An upgraded 3.8-litre twin-turbo eight-cylinder mill provides power. It is able to generate hellish 666 hp (or 496 kW) and torque of 700 Nm (or 516 lb-ft). In such a way, the coupe is able to sprint 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds. Its top speed stands at 205 mph. The 675 RS will probably present something similar.
The McLaren 675 RS Spider will be revealed at the beginning of 2016 at the Motor Show in Geneva.
