P15 from McLaren to Occupy the Medium Niche between Two Other Models

When the limited edition of McLaren P1 is sold, its place will be occupied by the new confirmed product.

The flagship place should never be vacant, and the British carmaker has already decided on the successor of 375 P1. It will be a sports car under the working title P15. One of the automobile periodicals has mentioned that the project of the vehicle is already confirmed and shared the expected price of it – the moderate figure of approximate $500,000.

Though presumably costing lower than the other luxury sports cars of the brand, P15 is likely to carry the usual integrated chassis of carbon fibre. Other sources indicate that due to connections with Formula 1 Honda can supply the powertrain. Nevertheless, chances are high that the model will be equipped with the turbocharged engine with eight cylinders and 3.8-litre displacement mated with dual-clutch gearbox for seven speeds through a rear-wheel drive, which is inherent to 12C and P1.
