Expect MINI Clubman with ALL4 Next Spring

According to the latest report, MINI is going to show a four-wheel drive Clubman in spring.

MotoringFile assures that the company will offer an all-wheel drive car in March of 2016. This All4 set-up derived from the xDrive system that is used in the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer minivan. By the way, the 2nd-gen Clubman has taken its UKL platform.

The report indicates that MINI wants to sell the 4-wheel drive arrangement on the high-end Clubman John Cooper Works as regular. The JCW production will come into play in a year after an official reveal. The reveal will probably take place in the first part of 2016.

The AWD regular Clubman with the same front-wheel drive version will cost $1,500 more in America. The more complicated hardware will add 134 lbs (or 61 kg) to the vehicle’s weight. The brand is going to sell four-wheel drive set-up on the Cooper D and Cooper S in America. Meanwhile, the European market will receive the Cooper SD with All4.

An official debut of the 6-door Clubman featuring an All4 set-up is scheduled to happen this winter. Probably, the company will show it at NAIAS in January.
