The Lotus Elise Race 250 is the Fastest Elise

Lotus has revealed about its track-only version. The Lotus Elise Race 250 has been proven to be the fastest Elise race vehicle so far. It has lapped the Hethel test track in 1:33.5.

So, it is 0.5 seconds faster than the earlier Elise Cup 220 R. The Lotus Elise Race 250 will be available in America starting from $76.200.

This model is equipped with a 1.8-litre supercharged V4 engine that has been joined to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It produces 243 hp and torque of 184 pound-feet. The producer from Britain gave the offering uprated brake pads, a removable helm, Nitron adjustable dampers, a polycarbonate rear windscreen and FIA-approved carbon fibber race seats featuring 6-point racing harnesses.

A fuel aero pack provides rear diffuser, a rear wing, a front splitter and floor extensions. There will be lots of lightweight options. The vehicle’s dry weight will be 1,984 pounds, This weight also covers carbon fibber race seats, a lithium-ion battery and ultra-lightweight forged alloys.
