Bugatti Veyron Jean-Pierre Wimille Legends Version Honors 1937 Le Mans Triumph

A couple of weeks ago, Bugatti informed that it would be kicking off a series of special version Veyron vehicles that honor some of racing’s greats.

One of the first is Veyron Legends is the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Legends Jean-Pierre Wimille, which officially debuted at the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Limited to only three models, the ultra-car has a 2-tone exterior that draws its inspiration from the Bugatti Type 57G Tank which Wimille driven to a Le Mans 24 Hours triumph in 1937.

Accenting the special version model, which is Bugatti’s 16th for the Veyron, are Le Mans-inspired graphics and laser-etched logos of Jean-Pierre Wimille’s autograph. Inside, the 2-tone interior includes Blue Wimille and Lake Blue leather upholstery contrasted by light blue stitching. The headrests are also embroidered while blue carbon fiber trim and special “Les Legendes de Bugatti” honors the special version lineup.

Under the hood, performance stays the same with 1,200 horsepower from its quad-turbocharged, 8.0-liter W16 motor. Backed by 1,106 lb-ft of torque, the Veyron is a true ultra-car blasting to 62 mph in just 2.6 sec.
